I remain at Stanford University as an Assistant Professor in the department.

My current research is focused on novel ways of imaging the retina: specifically, we are collaborating with the Department of Radiology to better elucidate mechanisms and patterns of cellular loss in several retinal degenerations and dystrophies. Another related avenue of research in which I have also been have privileged to partake, is a collaboration between Stanford's Departments of Ophthalmology, Neurobiology, Physics and Electrical Engineering towards developing a photovoltaic retinal prosthesis.
