Glenn C Yiu, MD, PhD
I am currently a clinician-scientist and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at UC Davis. My clinical practice involves both medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal diseases.
My research is divided between clinical imaging studies using optical coherence tomography (OCT), focusing on the role of the choroid and suprachoroidal space in retinal diseases; and translational basic science research evaluating gene therapy, drug delivery, and disease modeling of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) across mice, monkeys, and human patients. I also run the UC Davis retinal reading center, with special emphasis on tele-ophthalmology.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, and meeting with friends at various retina meetings. In our spare time, we enjoy cooking, watching movies, playing video games, and traveling abroad.
