Baruch D Kuppermann, MD, PhD

Dr. Kuppermann is the Roger F. Steinert Professor, Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology, and Director of the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Kuppermann completed his PhD in neuroscience at the California Institute of Technology and his medical degree at the University of Miami in Florida. He was an intern at LA County/University of Southern California Medical Center and a resident at the University of Southern California/Doheny Eye Institute. He completed retina fellowships as a Heed Fellow at St Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore and as a Michels Fellow at the UC San Diego. He has been at UC Irvine since fellowship.
